Dr. Killingo is a medical doctor who is passionate about improving healthcare in underserved communities, particularly for individuals with life-limiting and terminal illnesses. He has dedicated his career to providing palliative care and mentoring others to do the same. Dr. Killingo is also been an advocate for the development and expansion of palliative care services in Kenya and other countries.
As a Founding Trustee and first Chief Executive Officer of one of the first hospices in a rural setting, Dr. Killingo played a key role in establishing the Kenya Hospices and Palliative Care Association (KEHPCA) and served as its first Chairperson. His efforts were recognized with one of the highest medals in Kenya, The Order of the Grand Warrior (OGW), awarded by President Kibaki in 2006.
